Robinvale & Swan Hill
Mildura Health Fund recently branched out into Robinvale and Swan Hill providing a face to face service in Robinvale fortnightly every Wednesday and weekly every Thursday in Swan Hill.
We’ve been quite overwhelmed with the level of support in such a short period of time and we’d like to thank everyone from Robinvale & Swan Hill regions for supporting Mildura Health Fund.
Our goal is to one day have a permanent office in Swan Hill and with your continued support of Mildura Health Fund we can achieve this.
P.S Thanks Larry Emdur for really trying to focus in for our photoshoot in the background!!

Top marks for Mildura Health Private Hospital
Tue, 22 Nov 2016 08:38:00
Mildura Health Private Hospital’s excellent performance on quality and safety have been showcased in recent health industry national standards audits.
Since 2013, all Australian hospitals and day procedure services are assessed under National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards to maintain their accreditation. Every three years they must also undergo a more comprehensive review for recertification.
MHPH Director of Nursing Karen Woolfe said the hospital was thrilled to be honored with top marks on several standards at its first recertification in October.
“It’s certainly a rigorous process, with assessors in the hospital for several days reviewing our systems and processes, speaking to caregivers, interviewing staff and scrutinizing our various departments and documentation,” Ms Woolfe said.
“But we met the full complement of NSQHS standards and we were thrilled to receive a ‘met with merit’ classification on three of our assessments, which is a real honor and recognition of excellence.”
A “met with merit” classification requires that, in addition to achieving the required standards, “measures of good quality and a higher level of achievement are evident”.
MHPH Quality and Risk Manager Carla Kirby said the higher benchmark recognized the hard work of caregivers across the hospital.
“Our focus at MHPH has been to implement a culture of safety, evaluation and improvement,” Ms Kirby said.
“We think the assessment shows that a focus on safety and quality is integral to everything we do and our results are evidence of the commitment of the entire staff to that philosophy,” she said.
“These standards and results give us a platform to continue assessing ourselves and improving the ways we work.
“But from the community’s point of view, meeting and excelling against these standards means we are delivering the highest quality care to our patients each and every day,” she said.
