Private Post-natal services for our members
We offer our members a personalised Private Post-natal experience giving members the choice of in home or in hotel post-natal services, whilst being supported by experienced midwives and lactation specialists either in person or via telephone. This personalised Private Post-natal experience allows our members more time to get to know their baby in a comfortable and supportive environment.
Relax in the comfort of your own home
The in home program offers you the services and support you need in the comfort of your own home. This option is designed to allow you to spend more time getting to know your new born and time to catch up on your rest.
This offer* includes:
- Access to an experienced midwife or lactation specialist, either in person or via telephone, to provide help and information.
- A voucher for a physiotherapist to help with your recovery process.
- A gift pack to welcome you and your baby home.
- A professional home cleaning voucher.
- A Visa gift card.
Note: This service is only available to homes that are within a 30km radius of the Mildura Health Fund office at 79 Deakin Avenue, Mildura*.
Treat yourself with our Private Post-natal hotel service
The in hotel service offers you the care and support you need in the comfort of a luxury hotel room. This option is designed to allow you to spend more time getting to know your new born and time to catch up on your rest.
This offer* includes:
- 3 nights luxury accommodation in our Private Post-natal hotel with plenty of room for you, your support person and baby.
- Access to an experienced midwife or lactation specialist, either in person or via telephone, to provide help and information.
- A voucher for a physiotherapist to help with your recovery process.
- A gift pack to welcome you and your baby to your room.
- A Visa gift card
The room is prepared especially for you:
- A comfortable bed for two with plenty of pillows.
- An easy chair for comfortable baby feeding.
- A baby bed that doubles as a bath for your little one.
- A nappy change area. A kitchenette.
- A spacious bathroom.
- Breast pump available.
- Sterilising options (if required).

Eligibility
To be eligible for this service, you need to be a member of Mildura Health Fund, deliver your baby at Mildura Base Public Hospital and be covered by one of our Five Star Gold Hospital policies that include pregnancy and birth related services. A 12 month waiting period applies to new and upgrading members, and to members transferring from another Health Fund. Contact us to discuss your eligibility.
